Things are so strange and intense it seems, doesn’t it?  I’ve chatted many times with my guides about what’s going on.  I’ve also watched and read this and that, and meditated on it all too.  All together I’ve come to have a balanced sense of how things fit together and what’s going on.  

I’ve been meaning to put that all in an article but it was a little complicated because I would need to draw from numerous different places and carefully stitch a cohesive picture together.  I haven’t had the time and energy to do that yet.

Earlier this year, I lost two treasured friends and I confess that I’m sometimes hurting from it still. We might have the idea we shouldn’t hurt over such things – or not for long anyway. We think we should be more “spiritual” than that, not taking it so personal.

When a friend dies we give ourselves a bit more latitude, though we still think we should move on sooner than we might. But when we lose a friend to acrimony or when one stops being a friend without explanation, we may not give ourselves enough time for grieving.

We try to normalize right away. Some of the ways we do this are rather unfortunate. Feeling afraid of what the former friend might say to others about us, we move to get others on our side. We gossip about the friend that hurt or left us, making us right and them wrong, for instance. (more…)

I recall learning in Junior High science class that matter – myself included – was largely space.  The instructor explained this by telling us that atoms are largely space and are constantly in movement.  He explained that even the desk in front of each of us was merely micro-particles rotating at high speed to create the illusion of solidity.  “Pretty convincing illusion,” I remember thinking, rapping my desk with my knuckles.

To illustrate this further he said it was much like a motion picture that appears to be one steady stream of linear images woven together by storyline but actually comprised of individual frames run at the right rate of speed so as to appear continuous and fluid.

I recall feeling a sense of wonder and awe as I contemplated this and being inspired by the world of implications and possibilities it seemed to open up.  You may recall having similar thoughts and feelings when learning this the first time. (more…)
