You have a Twin and They Are Amazing!

June 25, 2026

Article Highlights:

  • Are you incomplete?
  • Meet your twin flame

Sometimes it’s felt as an intense longing for partnership or the one most important significant other.   You may wish for a special someone who truly understands you and is a compliment to who you are.

Or your longing may be to be better understood by friends and others in general, but your experience often seems to fall just short.

What is incomplete? You are told that you should not feel incomplete.  But what if you are, in an essential and important way? What is it, that wonderful sense of relating that eludes like something you can almost remember?

When you journeyed far away to earth, most of your beingness stayed Home – that is what you almost remember.  The longing you can’t quite put your finger on is your Twin Self that you left behind.

That One that you are waiting for — the one capable of truly satisfying you — is the Fulness of you.

Whatever you might call it, there is a part of you that you long to know and who longs to be remembered.  When you feel so alone, what you ache for is YOU.

Becoming intimate with your Inner Being is so much more satisfying and wonderful and exciting and fulfilling than the greatest romance.  Your current partner might be exactly right, but growing intimate with the rest of You will make any relationship richer, fuller.

The merging you can never as fully manage with another, you can achieve with yourself.  Your Inner Being has your back, is always there for you, loves you like no other, understands you better than yourself and has profound wisdom to offer your life.

Merging with the rest of you, you do not lose yourself, instead you find yourself at last.

You are the perfect match for you.  This is the match that feels like Home. In this match you meet your magnificence, you at last achieve your most exquisite perfection.  You are there for you as no other can be.

It’s not about Soul Mates and Twin Flames.
It is your own Twin Self, your Inner Being, that you miss more than you have even understood.

Get acquainted with the rest of you, your expanded self, your twin.   Become intimate with the part of you that stayed home and connects you now with the glory of the sun.

Discover what is there.  Know this is what you long to do most of all. Find ways to connect.  It is as easy as becoming captivated with the idea.  Your fuller Self will guide you.

Realize who you really are.  There is more to you than meets the eye.  There always has been.

The rest of you is listening, ready, responsive.  No search is needed.  Your twin self is there, always was, always will be.  It longs for you to make the move, to notice, to speak, to draw near.

This new relationship with you will be soOoo good for your body, you will glow.  Others will notice, perhaps they will think you have fallen in love.  Let it be true, go head-over-heels with abandon.

Why not risk it?  Fall for yourself and in falling discover ALL that you are! It is a great adventure!

Pause as you read here and ask, “Are you there?”  You will feel your own stirrings in reply.  Try it now and see.

From my Twin to yours,
Love ever-expanding,
Mayet Leilani

An Awesome Purpose

June 18, 2026

Do you have a favorite poem? Perhaps like me you have a wealth of them.  Four times this week people around me have talked about concerns regarding their life purpose. Are they on the right path, they wonder? Mary Oliver answers that question better than anyone I know.

Messenger

My work is loving the world.
Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird –
               equal seekers of sweetness.
Here the quickening yeast; there the blue plums.
Here the clam deep in the speckled sand.

Are my boots old?  Is my coat torn?
Am I no longer young, yet still half-perfect?  Let me
keep my mind on what matters,
which is my work,

which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished.
The phoebe, the delphinium.
The sheep in the pasture, and the pasture.
Which is mostly rejoicing,
since all the ingredients are here,

which is gratitude, to be given a mind and a heart
               and these body-clothes,
a mouth with which to give shouts of joy
to the moth and the wren,
               to the sleepy dug-up clam,
telling them all, over and over, how it is
               that we live forever.

~ Mary Oliver, from her book, Thirst

Why — I can’t help but wonder — does it take us so long to learn to let astonishment be our purpose, sharing with all of life what we have learned from awe: that we are all forever-beings?

This poem is like the whisper of my soul giving reminders.  Feel free to hit reply here and tell me what poem speaks for your soul.  I’d love to hear if you have time.

I’m embracing life today more freely,
With Love,
Mayet

It is a Tender Time for Me

June 11, 2026

I’ve had such feelings of sorrow lately.  And moments of great joy, but the sorrow has brought many tears that needed to flow into the world.  Tears about a friend departing physical life, tears for a world in stress and so many people brought low. I’ve wept recently for the relinquishment of a dream — it was time for it go but I still felt have felt the loss. Last week I even shed tears for this year’s summer garden, never planted.  So you see, It has been a tender time.  It hasn’t been a suffering time, more of a time of release.

Today — wanting to be active because I again felt saddened — I unpacked a small box of books, including The Prophet, by Khalil Gibran.  It opened to the following thoughts about joy and sorrow.  It felt so much like a hug from Life’s Wisdom and those who walk with me.  How could I resist sharing it with you?

On Joy and Sorrow
   By Kahlil Gibran

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.

And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.

And how else can it be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?

And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, “Joy is greater than sorrow,” and others say, “Nay, sorrow is the greater.”

But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.

So we see that I’ve been emptying and filling then emptying again, in the universal rhythm of balance.  I think this is part of our work in the world right now, counting the joys, feeling the sorrows and their release.

May it serve us all
May this rhythm bring balance
May the river of our tears reach the vast, open Ocean
And be absorbed in her great expanse of being.
That is my prayer, in a tender time.

Shared with you with Love,
Mayet
