3 Journal Entries

3 journal entriesMay 23, 2024

It really is nice to join you here this way, a moment of musing together in the course of our day. Along that line, I thought I’d share 3 journal entries from my Morning Musings. Not big moments, just short ones that allow me to share the beginning of my day with you.

See my cuppa steaming beside me on my computer lapboard. Hear the birds so chirpily getting on with their day outside my window, as I muse and prepare to settle into my morning meditation. These are moments I’m sure you’ve had many of, too. Settle in beside me and join me there.

Hugs,
Mayet

The weather in my head is choppy this morning, thots jumping about on deck, trying to find something to hold on to… skitter-mind. I tell it, firmly, “we’re going to settle down now and set that all aside, “don’t worry, everything will be there upon our return.” But it’s not paying attention to me at all, it’s too busy with its concerns.

That’s ok, I don’t mind, I’m familiar with my mind’s nature and I know that soon enough (or at least eventually, lol) as I deepen it will tire and curl up for a nap. So I leave it to its thrashings and I go within. My mind now sounds like a child talking to itself, but in another room.

I leave it to its chatter and move away, the next room, and the next. As I do, I notice my body breathing a big sigh of relief… it sometimes finds the mind to be soOoo tiresome! 😉

Morning fog, a cup of tea on hand to clear my head. Rosebud tea is my favorite for this… ahhh… the wafting aroma is like a walk through a rose garden as the sun starts to warm the petals. And the taste is like sipping dew drops from petals graced with light of moon and dawn’s first rays of sun. Small delights calm the mind and open the senses to joy and the heart to peace, don’t they?

I’ve had a lot of stuff to deal with lately requiring concentration and balance. Days of it. There’s been some breath-holding and body-tensing in that. So as I settle, I’m thinking about how to unwind that.

“Create Itty bitty satisfactions…” that’s the phrase that comes to mind in this quiet moment. I muse on what it means… itty bitty satisfactions… some days that’s all one can manage, isn’t it, when the onslaught of life’s requirements, or maybe a problem or a pain, press in with harsh demands? Itty bitty satisfactions. Yes, I see, they ease things held too tightly, relax the clenching. (more…)

Figuring Out What is True

contemplate what is trueMay 16, 2024

Discerning what is true can be confusing. Thinking of this, I asked for a special message to help with that. They gave us a first step or two. I think this one’s both wise and useful, hopefully you’ll find it so, as well.
Love to you today,
Mayet

Contemplate what is true.

Look at what is said by yourself or others and ask: Is this true? Set aside your own beliefs about it, your strong opinions or hopes. Say aloud, “I don’t just want to know what I think, I really want to know what is most true.” This helps you be a more open conduit.

Next, notice clearly what is felt or believed by yourself and ask, “Is that true?” First understand your own perspective and desires and how they influence what you see about this. Contemplate this then set your current perspective aside. Then ask, What else might be true? Feel into this rather than think about it.

Then ask, What else could be true? List possibilities aloud. This a simple step and fun to bring your creativity to. List the other things that could be true instead, or true also. Sometimes there are other things also true and they change how something looks.

And finally ask, “IWhat is true?” then hold in silence, letting it simply be followed by a more informed frequency, not needing further thought or examination. This is another way – simply opening to what more, or what else, or what instead – is true.

These simple means lead to new ways of feeling or viewing whatever is at hand. They also give access to inner feelings of what yet can’t be known. And most important, these few methods bring an expanded frequency that can now easily upgrade what was formerly was not well-conceived. This is a good way for that to happen, one frequency simply informing and up-grading the other.

The aim of these three suggestions is they allow your truth to expand. The expansion of truth is an integral part to any pilgrim’s progress. It is the expansion of truth that leads to better decisions, more knowing and wiser actions and choices.

Revealing the Source
of Heart of Love Messages

These messages tumble out pretty much as you find them here, yet I don’t call them channeled words because their source is not outside of myself. My phrase is “inspired wisdom.” When I connect to the “more that is there,” or “the Expanded Self” as I sometimes call it, I find it beating within me like a message from the very heart of love. It makes me smile to express the fullness of all things in this way, to feel that communion and Presence. And more and more that is the sense I walk in through my day.

I’ve explained the source of these messages because I know that more and more this is how you walk through your day as well.

Mouse Meditation

Dear Ma HuLliLi,

mouse trapA house mouse was wrecking a bit of devastation so I set a live trap. It fell for the bait and is trapped by this morning. Mice come back in if simply let outside; I need to take it farther away than my neighborhood or the next.

My plan is to meditate but I don’t want it to have to wait that long for freedom. So early off together we go, heading for the park where I set it free in a place filled with bark and other bits, and pecans dropped from nearby trees.

There are dry grasses here for cover and seed pods waiting to open up to Spring, and rushes rustling near the pond. It’s a fine place for mouses. And as for my musings, what better place? So after little mouse scurried away I take my time there on the rock in the sun.

I listen. One of my favorite forms of meditation is eyes-closed listening… listening close, listening far, listening in between… it always leads to listening within.

Near, I hear rustling in the leaves at my feet. Expanding that, I hear the birds in the trees and wind in the branches. A ways away, there are friendly voices. And high above there’s a hawk calling in flight.

Listening far, there is traffic, away in the distance. It sounds almost like rushing water from here. And farther still, from time to time, a faint honk or two. Farther than that and it is quiet. Quiet. I listen to the far silence and soon I fall inside out.
