Your Purpose is In You – Eleven Steps to Remember
First and foremost, praises and love and the deepest appreciate for your choice to be here now, for your courage and forbearance, your sincere and joyful heart and your determination to serve all.
In this determination to be of service, remember, in the first part, that you already are of great service, and ever have been. This is brought to mind so you may relax somewhat and give yourself respite from your strivings.
Your purpose is to awaken from the slumber of separation and come to know the Source of all life.
Your highest intent is to express the light that you already are. You do this without striving…you cannot help but do it and therefore you are, yes in every moment, living your most urgent purpose. Sometimes you are more and sometimes less aware of this Source, at other times you are judging your seeming shortcomings in this, and in some moments you don’t seem to feel your light at all.
But even then the truth is that you are expressing it, for you always are a living expression of Source. And this is enough for purpose, you see? Source is not greedy, nor is Life, they do not say, “That was not enough today, you were bad, you must give more.” No, the Source is not demanding or greedy, it always says, “Thank you, you are beautiful.” It only encourages you to continue to live, to grow and learn and express more.
The task is more to realize this truth, and relax into it. Give yourself the acknowledgment due to you for this successful expression. Know you are thus already fulfilling your purpose. No further purpose is necessary for you other than to continue to know and express God. Can you take this in fully? Breathe.
Your purpose is within, in the light always expressing in you, this means you are the purpose you are waiting for!
You see, the other meaning of purpose – relating to your livelihood, to your interactions with others or your place in the world, as well as your active service – this purpose is simply a matter of choice. It is good to remember this: both your area of active service and your work purpose are entirely your choice.
It is not a matter of getting it right, nor of understanding what God wants you to do. There is not the God who will tell you what to do – in fact it is more true that God wants to know what you want to do. It is you who is intended to choose from your own preference and pleasure. There is nothing to get right, there is not a right and wrong choice for this. That idea comes from ancient religious programming’s that are not valid for you. Do you see? Breathe deeply and release that idea and set yourself free.
However it is clear you would like more for the how part for your “doing purpose.” This is given in 11 Steps, just to make you smile that Spirit might count it out. It might serve you to write a list for the answers for each.
- Review things you have already done.
- Revisit dreams you left unfulfilled, unexplored.
- Assess your gifts and talents – yes, you have many in truth.
- Learn what others say you are good at.
- Consider what you enjoy.
- Ask what comes easily to you?
- Listen to your heart’s wisdom, and your body’s feelings.
- Seek counsel of your fine mind.
- Look at it from playful and creative angles.
- Examine it from practical angles.
- Surprise yourself.
Perhaps, after all, what is wise is simply a rote job that requires little of you, supports you and sends nothing of stress home with you! This is a wonderful purpose indeed. Next a) make your own choice, for now. You are free to change your mind. b) outline your steps or seek help to do so, and c) begin in a simple way.
Remember, grand notions of purpose are ego; your grand purpose is working within you, it’s the light you already are.
Now the gardener is setting the early plantings in the earth. She has tilled and prepared the soil for the garden. Her mind is full of delight and imagining; she exults in the cool dirt on her hands. It is her time of playing with choices, finalizing. Sprouts are peeking out from tiny cups covering the counters and tables and windowsills in her home. Soon these little seedlings and the new seeds of the summer and fall crops will take root in the ground!
When you do plant them, dear gardener, treat them tenderly, protect them from criticism, fear and doubt – especially your own. Know they will shoot up; delight in the new growth; weed out what might interfere; be patient. Your garden will mature and satisfy you deeply!

These messages tumble out pretty much as you find them here, yet I don’t call them channeled words because their source is not someone outside of myself. My phrase is “inspired wisdom.” When I connect to this “fullness” within me, I find it beating there like a message from the very heart of love.
It makes me smile to express the fullness of all things in this way, to feel that connection. More and more that is the sense I walk in through my day. I share this information about the source of these messages because I know that more and more this is how you walk through your day as well.
