Each morning I spend a little time reading, a little time contemplating, a bit of time writing whatever comes, and a few minutes in meditation.  Just a few minutes of each – it doesn’t take much time but it sets my day, centering me in my expanded self, provided the balanced sense of life needed for a day. 

For the reading, I’m currently using the beautiful book, Radiant Sutras, 112 Gateways to the Yoga of Wonder & Delight, offered by Lorin Roche, I’ve mention them before in my blog. 

These ancient sutras are wonderful in how they both point the way and take you there.  Today it was sutras 103 and 104.  So beautiful:

Abandon all these attitudes
Of wanting to prolong pleasure
And avoid suffering,
Let the heart be itself and feel
Whatever is there.

Freed from clinging and avoiding,
The heart regains its poise
And revels in creation.

Plunging deep into its center,
Discover that the heart is moved
By a pulse that is everywhere.

Holiness permeates everywhere.
Senses cannot grasp it.
Images cannot represent it.

It is totally free — 
Free to appear as form,
Free to be beyond form.

Heart and body and mind in unison,
Attend to the unimaginable.

In the intercourse of unknowable and known,
An awakening will be born in you
As you join with that reality
Which you already are.

Being both human and divine, you are that “intercourse  of unknowable and known.” I am that intercourse of unknowable and known.  And, right now, together this very minute, we are that dialogue, joining in unison with the reality which we already are.
