Dear Butterfly – Your Wings Are Ready!

Dear Butterfly, 

I wrote to you near Christmas a couple of years ago, do you remember?   Your answer was so helpful I thought I’d ask for your help again.  What is happening right now?  It’s all so strange and scary.  I don’t know what to think.  Will things go back to normal soon?  Ever?  Are we going to be OK?  Am I?  What’s the thing I need to know so I feel better about what’s going on?  Do you know?

Dear Caterpillar,

It’s confusing, I know.  There’s so much conflict, so many conflicting opinions and theories.  So much noise!  It’s hard to sort what’s important or true.  But this is what you need to know:
You’re not a caterpillar anymore, and your Chrysalis is not your confinement any longer.  Things have been so odd and new that you’ve failed to understand this fully.  But dear, dear one, you have become a butterfly, like me!

Your wings are ready, your time as a caterpillar is done.

So burst free, free of old ways of thinking.  Don’t get caught in the chrysalis of global fears.  Be brave.  Fly.  Nothing can stop you.  

It takes courage and determination to let go of what everyone is else is so attached to, but you can do it, you can fly!  This is what you were born to do.  Trust that and discover your world anew.  

Things are very different now than they ever have been for you – life is full of new colors, vibrations, flowers and scents.  Think beyond the Chrysalis, outside the Chrysalis.  Then you won’t be so confined by what appear to be limitations, you’ll find the freedom within it all.  

You’ve got this.  Don’t listen to what those who are still caterpillars might say.  Have different conversations, focus elsewhere.  Don’t get dragged down by the concerns of those still in the chrysalis.  You are not a caterpillar or in chrysalis  anymore.  Remember, this is what you need to know:

Your wings are ready, dear Butterfly,
Your time as a caterpillar is done!

Don’t worry, I’m here, experienced and wise at this.  I’ll guide you and show you the ropes.  Be brave, dear one, use your new wings and let’s soar free together!   Welcome to Butterfly being!
