Though you are sequestered, keep your energy active. Though you might be enjoying a level of restfulness or thinking of this as retreat, do not let your energy slide down to that of neutral. Keep the motor running and in gear. Don’t shift into neutral.
If you go into neutral, waiting for this to be over, the challenges of this period as well as the opportunities, will effect your body rather like revving the gas pedal on a car that is idling. Momentum will not happen to and it’s not great for the engine.
So stay vital, alive and alert to the opportunities. Notice them and act on impulses and nudges that come. These might be a varied as a sudden urge to clean a closet, or an inspired impulse to call someone that results in a benefit or answer for you.
Many many such moments are there for you right now. Keep your eye out. Follow through. Stay in motion. Keep the motor running and in gear AND go somewhere, even briefly. Follow through.
Motion is life and life is motion. The body takes lack of motion as a cue for aging, of lack of interest in being here, and it begins to shut down gradually and devitalize.
Staying in motion means feeling and being active in your cells, having flow in your vitality. And in fact, in the moments you feel less like it, when you feel confused, grumpy, foggy, out of sorts – motion is your antidote. Try just jumping around for a few minutes and being silly… you’ll be surprised that it helps.
Take a positive action, however small. Get up and get going with something of interest, even if your resistance is profound. It won’t be but minutes before your engagement brings improvement. Try it and see. It is magic, indeed.
With loving care,
Ma Hulili
