Hello Everyone,

Before we get to today’s fascinating message, Chicken or the Egg, I have some interesting news to share. After many years of not having a website or home for my blog, I have done it at last…as you can see right here at Ma HuLiLi.com. On my walkabout, everything I did was utterly spontaneous. It had advantages and also disadvantages. It’s not a superior way to do this, it was merely the way I wanted to explore. As time went on, I eventually felt it was time to change that, but the momentum of the spontaneous kept carrying me along.

Motion is Life, Life is Motion

inertiaThough you are sequestered, keep your energy active. Though you might be enjoying a level of restfulness or thinking of this as retreat, do not let your energy slide down to that of neutral. Keep the motor running and in gear. Don’t shift into neutral.

If you go into neutral, waiting for this to be over, the challenges of this period as well as the opportunities, will effect your body rather like revving the gas pedal on a car that is idling. Momentum will not happen to and it’s not great for the engine.

True Wisdom is Found in Your Rear View Mirror

Dear fellow roadie,

True WisdomIn the first days of October last year I drove I-40 West from Alabama to San Diego via Oklahoma City and Sacramento. It was a beautiful fall drive and one of it’s greatest pleasures, that I mentioned in an article at that time, was that most of the trip I had sunrise ahead of me and sunset directly in my rear view mirror. A friend reminded me of that today.

Sunset in the rear view mirror is a wonderful metaphor, isn’t it? In the first place, it’s a great image for letting things go. So many things need to be let go, friend’s that don’t last, jobs lost, dreams that didn’t work like we wanted, the errors of others, our own mistakes… so many things. Let them go. Drive on.
