Last week I shared a chapter from my book which is now for sale on Amazon in many countries including the US, England, Canada and Australia. I have another excerpt for you this week with information that came to me in meditation.

While writing the book, an insight was given – specially for the book – that was so interesting and profound that it became a chapter of its own. Here’s an excerpt from that chapter which puts forth the idea that a certain sacred cow of spirituality – living in the present – is not actually possible. And reveals what we can do instead.

My book is done! And it’s for sale on Amazon in many countries including the US, England, Canada and Australia. I feel good about the book and so very glad to be done, as you might imagine. As you’ll see in the chapter below, it’s a book of stories interspersed with the type of musings I often share here.

A funny thing happened regarding when it actually became available. I tried to have it ready sooner; many things unavoidably interfered. Thus, I didn’t really choose the date for this announcement, it choose me. So here we are going into my birthday week, making the book a bit like a very happy birthday present to me! That wasn’t intended, but it makes me smile, you too I imagine. Since I celebrate the whole month of September, I’ve decided to include a short excerpt from my book each week this month.

My author name is Mayet Leilani. The book is called We Are Light! Experiencing the Truth of Who You Are. It’s a small book – my guidance was to create one that can be slipped into a purse or bag and easily carried around – and to make a book that can be revisited for a deep feeling of peace, to restore balance and a feeling of well-being, of being comforted. And to create a book that can guide in a moment of difficulty but also offer a special sense of joy and a profound experience of Self-Realization. That seemed a tall order – I hope I’ve accomplished it.

Dear Spiritual Pilgrim, you might wonder where you are on your spiritual path, seeking landmarks that clarify your place in the ascension terrain.  It is a good question to ponder at this time.  Here is what we would have you know.  

Your over-arching core purpose and desire is for full Spiritual Self-Realization – the full expression of the Authentic Self.  Know that you are in the final stages of awakening… the stage associated with truth and authenticity.   This is the inner fire that is unquenchable, uncontainable, and inherent within you.  

As you know, we speak of the fire that burns bright and strong but does not destroy.   Be encouraged, for you are past the point of return, the fire of the uncontainable life force within is rising, sounded deeply by your Highest Self.   

As the year progresses it becomes increasingly difficult to hold back or to edit any part of who you are.  Act from your deep inner unwillingness to abandon or forfeit yourself, to ignore your intuition, to pretend. 

This spiritual fire is in the final stages of burning out all the blocks and obstructions that limit self-actualization.  The fire is already lit, it will do what it must, it will take the time it does, therefore, proceed to enjoy everything as you go!  You will look back this year and see it as a time of great self-revelation, self-discovery, and of Self-Realization as you experience the truth of who you really are.    (more…)
