Your 2022 Map – These 5 Questions Can Reveal Your New Year
Happy New Year!
While we can turn to Astrology, spirit channels, and gifted teachers for useful information about what is to come, I’ve noticed that something’s a bit different about that now. It’s useful but not AS useful as it used to be. Have you noticed that too?
That’s because we are the best source of predictions about our own futures including what this year will be like. You are the prophet you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to step into the truth and opportunity of that. Embrace it with the biggest hug and fullest sense of wonder you can and be your own psychic and prophecy-fulfliller.
To help with this for 2022, here’s a simple and fun five-question quiz to reveal your New Year to you. Make January your time to play with these questions and you’ll get a very good sense of what’s ahead for you.
- How do you want it to feel? List 4 or 5 feelings to set the tone of your year. These are feelings or qualities that you want to play a big part in 2022. One should be your keyword for the year, the word that gives the most evocative response for you. Last year my keyword was Light and it certainly was a year that was filled with the radiance of Light – this overall theme played cross all areas of 2021 for me. This year my keyword is Love and I’m really looking forward to integrating, receiving and sharing Love in 2022 more and more fully! Other feelings and qualities might be things such as “supported,” or “incredibly lucky,” “courage,” “joy,” “accomplished,” etc.
- What do you want the year to include, what areas of focus do you choose? Last year one of my areas was spiritual development and of course it was all about Light. Other areas included Health, Finances, Creativity and Family. Health because the previous 3.5 years had been focused on somewhat intense caring for others and I was a tad run down. Creativity was about my writing – specifically my book – but other projects too. Finances was about a large project that will carry over into this year. And 2021 is ending with a large family gathering that is the perfect manifestation of why I listed Family as an area of focus. What are your areas? I actually had five, so the number is up to you, but 3-5 is the best range.
- What does your Higher Self want to add? Take time to ask what your Higher Self, Guides, Angels, Inner Wisdom would like to add to your process. Ask them to give you images, feelings, words or ideas. They can come to you in meditation, a song on the radio, a book, a sign. Have a little fun allowing a sense of your new year to come to you from your higher guidance. But they prefer you start from your own preferences before asking them. Even if you just want to serve, they still want you to come from your own preferences because that serves as a guideline that your life artfully and serendipitously can follow. Those in the unseen need this framework to weave within. So if you are one who wants to say, “Just make it what it should be,” know that this is too passive for the best results. Know yourself, your feelings and preferences. Think things through and dare to state what you understand.
- What images, colors, phrases, etc. evoke what you understood so far? Go to Goggle Images and type your words and phrases in, saving the images that grab you most. Grab a bunch, just for fun, and then cull them to those few that are the most evocative, that best symbolize the focus, content and feel of your new year. Print some of them out and tape them on the refrigerator or wall.
- How will you keep this vision in the forefront this year so it can fulfill? The act of creating your vision like this is powerful, as you’ve known. Make it visual in some concrete form so it can talk to you all year long. Last year I took the time to make a vision board (see photo above.) I hung it across from my bed and loved waking to it every morning. This weekend I’m going to do the 5 question process and put words and images all over my refrigerator for now. Then throughout January I’ll make 8×10 pages and fasten them together in a simple little book I can review… and I’ll probably also leave my initial refrigerator art up all year too. We loved that as kids, why not now?
My Shamanic Journey Back Through 2021
Happy Holidays ,
New Year’s Eve is upon us and in that collective energy of reflection and anticipation I like to review the year that’s behind me.
I often light a candle and set my intention to view the year holistically to better understand its challenges and gains. I then recline and relax, allowing myself to lift like a bird and fly over the terrain I have covered in the year ending. I might do this chronologically either from now moving back in time, or from the beginning of the year to now.
Or the movement of memory might be back and forth, skipping around like a butterfly collecting pollen from a flowering bush. I notice connections, I question things, allow thoughts, aha’s, answers, images etc. I pause to ponder or go deeper, to update and revise my views.
I don’t write things down, though. Not yet. I’m not worried about forgetting because in journeying like this I’m not trying to solidify an understanding. Instead I’m allowing perspective to show itself in various forms. I’m seeking a felt sense of the year, so I avoid explaining it all to myself – the mind wants to make it tidy, everything making sense – but I don’t really want that. I want the wisdom of the year to show itself, rather than letting the mind tie it up in a bow. (more…)
Christmas Messages From the Heart of Love
Merry Christmas ,
You know I like to make little impromptu altars around the house, mixing things up in a spontaneous way. Here’s the first of my mini- Christmas Altars. It’s simple, just a thoughtful arrangements and a couple of ornaments, but it pleases my eye and warms my heart. As you also know, I always ask for a little Heart of Love message to go with them and for this altar two messages came for us to enjoy.
The first message could well be about creating little altars, or a good holiday. Or a New Year.
Set the Scene
A Message From the Heart of Love
Set the scene, dear one, set the scene you project from your mind. Like a great director, like a writer of life, set the scene. Think of how the Light will enter and fall upon all who pass through your scene. Think of the words you wish to hear and say. Rise each day and set the scene, writing it well and directing creatively as you go. (more…)
