Motion is Life, Life is Motion
Though you are sequestered, keep your energy active. Though you might be enjoying a level of restfulness or thinking of this as retreat, do not let your energy slide down to that of neutral. Keep the motor running and in gear. Don’t shift into neutral.
If you go into neutral, waiting for this to be over, the challenges of this period as well as the opportunities, will effect your body rather like revving the gas pedal on a car that is idling. Momentum will not happen to and it’s not great for the engine.
In the first days of October last year I drove I-40 West from Alabama to San Diego via Oklahoma City and Sacramento. It was a beautiful fall drive and one of it’s greatest pleasures, that I mentioned in an article at that time, was that most of the trip I had sunrise ahead of me and sunset directly in my rear view mirror. A friend reminded me of that today.
