Dear Spiritual Artist,

If you are a spiritual explorer – and you are – then Spiritual Artistry is one of your superpowers. You may not think of yourself as an artist, you might even think, as many do, “I don’t have an artist bone in my body.” But in saying this, you would be wrong. Every spiritual traveler learns to unfold their life in concert with their Higher Self, developing a connection with Higher Mind.

True creative thinking, the core of artistry, springs forth from an aspect of Higher Mind. This isn’t the chatter mind, nor the analytical or reasoning mind. It is the clarity and inventiveness of a mind expressing inspired intellect and decisiveness with a high degree of originality. Doubt and confusion are banished in connecting with Higher Mind.

You access it through relationship with your Higher Self, guides and inter-dimensional family. It is in the expanded consciousness of Higher Mind that new insights and knowledge express and renew. In this, there is the experience of clarity, balance and peace of mind. (more…)

Before we begin with today’s blog, there are two things that will interest some of you. Now that my book is done, I’m going to start doing sessions again and after thinking about the financial recovery for everyone, I’ve decided to charge just $68 for a one hour session, for the time being. Second, to get my book self-published (my preference this time) I will need to pay for cover, layout and misc fees and etc. Rather than a Go Fund Me type of fundraising scheme, I just wanted to mention it here where there may be a few of you who feel strongly about supporting that happening. Feel no pressure please, and give only if it is a joy to you. The amount I need is not great and I know it will be met in easy ways whether here or by other currently unknown means.

“Please release me, let me go,” says the love song oldie by Engelbert Humperdinck. I think we can all relate. It feels like releasing time lately, wouldn’t you say? Today seems a very good moment for a little sweet release.

The same day this topic occurred as an idea for us here, a friend coincidentally (or not) sent me a post from a friend’s Facebook page sharing a blessing written for that very purpose. Here are a few lines from it:

“I release my partner from the obligation to complete me.
I release my parents from the feeling they have failed me.
I release my children from the need to bring me pride, so they can write their own paths to the rhythm of their heart’s whispering in their ear.

Dear Beloved River,

My manuscript is done as well as all the bits and pieces that go with it like the Introduction and Afterword, Dedication, etc. etc. I sent it all off for layout and cover work. I am happy dancing. Even though it’s not available to you yet, I just wanted to celebrate a moment with you. 💥💃 🎈

One of the things that happens when writing a book, is you write more material than you need; there are bits or sections that don’t make the cut. Today’s blog is a piece that didn’t make the book, but I think we’ll enjoy it together here.

Reaching the Promised Land

It is as though we have dreamed of a Promised Land, a Heaven or Nirvana just beyond reach on the opposite shore of a powerful river. We have thought we needed to cross that vast river to access the wonders of the Promised Land. Therefore, we’ve focused on the far shore, making many attempts to reach that mysterious, more enlightened place, falling short of the goal each time.

Then, to our surprise we realize we are that very River. We are the River that flows through countless extraordinary lands touching all the shores of unlimited promise and potential, rising always into physical form from the River’s source of life, and returning always to that same Great Ocean of Being.

Going forward as the River, is to become the flow of life in all its vastness. We are flowing sometimes languidly, other times in turbulent rapids, but always flowing and changing, a River creating its own wonderful path, a meandering way that is uniquely, for each, our own. (more…)
