not another friggin lessonPeople often say, “Life is a school where we learn lots of lessons.” Certainly I have learned many things from the events and happenings in my life and this would seem to prove that life is, in fact, a school filled with lessons to learn.

However. (I know you’re catching on to the fact that with me there’s often a “however,” lol.) Maybe life-as-a-school is true but doesn’t need to be turned into THE life model. After all, one of the best things about school was graduating from it, right? (more…)

message from the heart of loveThis was meant to be just a reminder of the free class on Wednesday but something very serendipitous happened so I thought I’d add it here as a treat. I was driving last night when the following message for us began to come to me, so I pulled over to capture it. (Wisdom doesn’t always notice what we’re up to when it speaks to us, have you noticed?)  As I came to a stop, I noticed the odometer had just turned to 55555!!  I couldn’t resist taking a photo to share with you.

Even as a teenager, my younger son, Atz Lee, would ask me to come out and play. I remember a gorgeous sunny winter day when he wanted me to go outside to see something he was very excited about. I was pretty cozy and content by the fire but he was insistent, so out we went on his adventure. This involved laboring along in the lung searing cold, clouds of breath puffing around us as we hiked through the crunchy snow. We crossed the field in front of the house to the place where a frozen culvert had created an overflow of frozen ribbons and flowing layers in a variety of colors from the minerals in the water. It was great looking, artful, and I was glad I came. It turned out, though, there was more to come. (more…)
